Street media video for Arthur's Day 2010.

Arthur's Day 2010

Our role was to ensure that Arthur's Day was perceived and viewed in the street as a unique day and like no other.

We employed a number of customised media creations in tandem with other media vehicles we have developed over the last few years for our work on the day.

The Liffey and Guinness are inextricably linked. As a homage to that, we constructed huge floating illuminated spheres on the Liffey.

Light Spheres

The Liffey was originally a source of water for the brewing and transport of barrels of the black stuff. So it seemed fitting that at dawn on Arthur's Day that these floating spheres came to life and put Guinness back on the Liffey once more. They invited many of Dublin's citizens to take another look at our river and to consider its significance in our development.

Custom James' Gates

Within the city streets we built replicas of James Gate. These iconic brewery gates found a presence in Grafton Street, South William Street and Camden Street. These gates looked incredibly realistic and brought Brewery downtown for a couple of days. For Arthur's Day we added toasting hands to the Grafton Street gates least we should we forget to raise our glasses at 17.59.

Light Walker Projections

As daylight slipped to darkness we illuminated street scenes with brightly lit spheres bringing joviality to the streets of Harry , Frederick and Chatham, even if rain tried to dampen spirits. Our Light Walker projections paraded the busy streets of Dublin, Cork and Galway.

LED Screens ( EvenTv)

Our super LED screens circumvented Dublin Cork and Galway displaying in the highest of quality what Arthur's day was all about. We even brought the televised toast to the streets with one of our screens set up in South Frederick Street.

i-site A1 Light Boxes

During the build up to what must be fast becoming one of the premier city festivals in Europe our in pub i-site poster media was used to promote Arthur's Day. By 10 am the next morning all our street media had vanished they had been removed and the street scapes were back to what they had been. Funny enough so had the rain!
