City Cards are free postcards that you find in our postcard racks around Ireland. The Picture Works has over 300 postcard racks in Dublin, Cork and Galway.
The medium is self–selective and the audience actively responds by choosing what has relevance or resonance with them. It is not consumed passively as some push media such as TV.
The cards are used to brand build and also to impart quite a substantial amount of information. Since they are largely available in urban areas such as cafes and bars they are on the path to purchase for many brands.

Special Distribution
In addition to our fixed City Card Network we offer City Card distribution to temporary networks . These are create to client brief and requirements and could be anything from pharmacies, cycle shops, pubs, community centres and cinemas. This is a flexible customisable service.
We also offer this service for posting A2 fly posters again offering a tailored solution in addition to our fixed network. Let us know what what you require and we will do our best to deliver it.
Marketing
We offer highly targeted, relevant direct mail communications for small and large companies alike. Campaigns have ranged from 50 to 100,000 plus postcards. We offer 2 formats A6 and A5. Should you wish, we can handle the process from concept design through final execution, or anything else in between.

Sampling
The network also provides a great opportunity to sample products to this targeted audience. Coffee, aftershave balm, moisturising cream, hair gel, mouthwash and cds (remember those!) have made it into many hands attached to city cards.
Magazine Distribution
Each month Movies plus is distributed through our network, however in addition we have at various times carried A6 publications for brand music magazines and cultural guides. Some these we have designed, written, printed and distributed.
From start to finish
If you are interested in a City Card campaign then get in touch with us. You need to provide us with artwork or else we can get our friends at Foundry to help you design your creative.
We need to have your finished creative by the 25th of the month so that we can print your postcards and have them ready for our distribution which begins on the 5th of the following month.
We then distribute your cards and they remain in the racks until the public has picked them all up or until the following months' distribution begins.
